New Hampshire Law Favors U.S.-Produced Lumber in State Projects
Learn More About New Hampshire’s New Lumber Requirements
The state of New Hampshire has enacted a law requiring that lumber based on U.S. grown wood be “given preference” in state-funded projects. The measure is expected to take effect this year.
The sole exception in the criteria is for “design criteria” that necessitate imported wood.
The measure also requires framing specifications that cite a preference for U.S. produced spruce-pine-fir (SPF) lumber.
