Timber Pulse Pricing Reports

Immediate Timber Pricing Information, Focused on Your Market

Timber Pulse makes it easy to receive current stumpage price information for the Lake States.

Choose your location and the species you want to review, and Timber Pulse will generate a simple PDF trial report focused on the market most relevant to you.

Try Timber Pulse at No Cost

We are currently offering complimentary access to up to three Timber Pulse trial reports while we gather feedback from a small group of foresters and other professionals who know these markets well.

Timber Pulse will eventually be available for a reasonable fee. Foresters who contribute harvest reports or other transaction price data will be eligible for substantial discounts.

How to Generate a Timber Pulse Trial Report

1. Visit pulse.forestdatanetwork.com.

2. Select Wisconsin, Minnesota or Michigan.

3. Select a county to generate a regional report. You can also select All Counties for a statewide view.

4. Choose up to six species. Additional subspecies are available for maple, oak and pine.

5. Enter your email address, and your Timber Pulse trial report will be delivered as a PDF.

Each user may generate up to three individual trial reports.

A New Alternative to Quarterly Pricing Reports

Timber Pulse replaces the Forest Data Network quarterly pricing reports that were phased out in 2025.

Instead of waiting for the next quarterly report, you can request focused pricing information when you need it. Trial reports can be customized by state, region and species to provide a more useful view of the market for your work.

Backed by the Forest Data Network Database

Timber Pulse index prices are developed from tens of thousands of public and private timber transactions collected throughout the Lake States.

These transactions are continuously organized and maintained within the Forest Data Network Prime database.

Timber Pulse provides a simple, focused pricing report. Organizations that need more detailed information, customizable analysis and direct database access can use FDN Prime.
