Wis. forest products listening sessions to be held in May

The two discussions will be held May 6, 11

Two listening sessions will be held in May by several principal agencies of Wisconsin state government to help develop a strategy to strengthen and diversify the forest products industry in the state.

The Wisconsin Council on Forestry announced the virtual sessions for May 6 from 2-4 pm and May 11 from 6-8 pm. The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, the Department of Natural Resources, and the University of Wisconsin Extension are joining in the effort.

The sessions are intended to gather ideas for a regional economic development strategy being developed with support from the U.S. Economic Development Agency.
