Red oak prices trending higher in many parts of state

Red oak prices in Wisconsin have been historically high, according to Forest Data Network, with prices varying geographically across the state. Weighted averages for red oak have reached as high as $475 per thousand board feet (MBF) in Oneida County forests in 2017, to as low as $188 per MBF in Adams and Wood counties. The average per MBF of red oak in 2017 was $341, according to the pricing service.
